About Us

Travel Trade Consultancy is an independent practice providing bespoke advice and services to new and existing businesses in the travel sector.

Since forming in 2004, we have assisted over 300 companies and as a practice, we have over 30 years’ experience in the travel sector working with a wide range of businesses from small start-ups to listed global corporates and ATOL Accredited Bodies.

Travel Trade Consultancy is owned and managed by Matt Purser and Martin Alcock.

About Matt Purser

Matt Purser founded Travel Trade Consultancy in 2004 and is an experienced consultant with expertise in travel regulations.

Before this, Matt had a 15 year career at the CAA where he held various positions across new applicants, ATOL licensing and crisis management.

About Martin Alcock

Before joining Travel Trade Consultancy in 2012, Martin was a senior analyst at the CAA in charge of a team of analysts monitoring the top 200 ATOL holding groups and developing policies in connection with ATOL reform/ flight-plus, notably Accredited Bodies.

Prior to that he was a manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He is one of a small but increasingly influential band of Sunderland football fans in the travel sector.
