Halsbury Travel

Halsbury Travel, a travel agency that organises trips for UK schools, with an offering that spans education, languages, sports, skiing and more, has been acquired by Literacy Capital.

The company was originally founded in 1986 by two former teachers. It specialises in creating school trips tailored to teachers’ specific requirements with the aim of inspiring young people by taking learning outside the classroom. Alex Williamson will be joining the Board as Non-Executive Director, bringing a wealth of experience in both the education and travel sectors.

The investment allows Halsbury to further improve its product, people. and processes, enabling it to capitalise on the inherent organic growth opportunity as the travel market reopens, with M&A being a key growth driver also.

We were thrilled to be part of the advisory team on this deal by helping obtain the necessary regulatory approvals. TTC Director Martin Alcock was part of the team working on the project. He has shared some thoughts on his LinkedIn page.
